At a very young age, the family moved to Paris where Luba studied classical ballet. She went on to become a member of the Ballet Russe De Monte Carlo. Luba moved to the U.S. in the mid '30s. She danced until 1942, when she decided to put her talents into performing on Broadway. She starred in The Merry Widow and Annie, Get Your Gun where she met and developed a relationship with the late Ethel Merman. After her tenure on Broadway, Luba decided to dedicate her talents to fashion. Luba launched her own company known as "Luba's Elite Jr.'s" in 1957. She was awarded the Coty Award for her designs in 1968. Luba designed and completed her home in Southampton on Meadow Lane in the summer of 1972. In September, Luba met the love of her life, George Begazy, with whom she spent the rest of her life.
