Obituary of Jean E. Belgrave

Jean Eliza Belgrave was born on February 1, 1957 in Manhattan, NY. She was raised by the late Katie & Joseph Person in Southampton, NY. Jean attended Southampton Public schools and graduated from Southampton High School. Jean was employed by the Hampton Jitney. She loved her job where she worked as a reservationist for over twenty years. Jean was a dedicated single mother of three daughters Charlene, Monique and Jessica. Although she only birthed the three girls, Jean was a mother to many. She was a loving and caring person. She loved spending time with family and friends; and making and sharing memories with her grand and great grandchildren. Jean was also a great cook. Her door was always open to her family friends and neighbors. Jean loved the Lord and was a devoted member of the Community Baptist Church were she served as the financial secretary until her passing. Jean departed this life on Monday, December 16th at the age of 62 at the Long Island University Hospital in Manhasset, NY. Predeceased by her parents, the late Katie and Joseph Person, her special companion of 14yrs., Cyril Ben Tinker and her Aunt Roslyn. Jean leaves to cherish her memory her daughters: Charlene Seymore, Monique (Jamal) Proctor, Jessica Williams, Carla Williams, and Allison Williams, her son: Kerry Robinson, Lamar Bell, who was like a son to her; her sisters: Connie Batson and Marie Powell; her grandchildren: Erick Darden, Allyson Darden, Aliza Proctor, Kyleigh Williams, Aamir Proctor, Courtney Maher, Kerry Robinson, Jr., Valerie Williams and Jessica Robinson; her great grandchildren, Aubrie Evans, Anthony Trent, Jayden Trent and Toy Darden; a special friend; Mary Phillips and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
