Obituary of Kareem S. Coffey

Kareem Sherrod Coffey "Reemo/Space" was born in Southampton, New York to Felicia Coffey of Bridgehampton, NY and Owen Baker of West Virginia on December 23, 1980. He attended the Bridgehampton Union Free School District in Bridgehampton, NY where he was an avid basketball player. Kareem played basketball for the Bridgehampton Killer Bees and was a great player. They won championships in 1996, 97', and 98', under coach Carl Johnson. He loved the game! In 1999, Kareem was blessed to have his first child, Tayah Rae Coffey. Kareem worked for Green Life Solutions, until he was unable to due to injury. He spent his free time watching various football and basketball games on TV and live in person. He also enjoyed traveling, watching cooing channels, and experimenting in the kitchen. Apart from enjoying television shows, Kareem also loved spending time with his children and family members whenever he could. His children were the love of his life. He was their protector. Kareem was a devoted family man. He was charismatic, kind, and gentle to all people who entered his circle. His smile lit up a room and he was guaranteed to make you laugh on the spot. Kareem's authentic personality will be cherished and never forgotten. He was the most loving and affectionate person and would do anything for anyone at any time, if eh could. He loved hanging with his friends and loved his family dearly. Kareem was a loving son, father, uncle, and friend to all of those who knew him. Kareem departed this life on December 16, 2019 in the comfort of his own home in Eastport, NY. He leaves to mourn his mother Felicia Coffey (Flanders, NY), father Owen Baker (West Virginia), and grandmother Pearlie Lane (Flanders, NY). 4 sisters: Autumn and Aniya Coffey (Flanders, NY), Kiesha Thompson (Robert) (Riverhead, NY), and TaLissa Crozier (Eat Hampton, NY). One brother Eddie Baker (Coram, NY). One daughter Tayah Coffey (Southampton, NY). Two sons Kayson and Jayden Coffey (Eastport, NY), and stepson Christian Senn (Eastport, NY). He leaves a godmother, Bridgett Gilliam (Southampton, NY), a godson Taylen Pettaway (Virginia Beach, VA) and Juelz Coffey (Mastic, NY). Nieces Chyna Moore, Leiahna Riley, Avielle Crozier, and Zahqoya Baker. Nephews Tylik Furman, William Moore Jr., and Ares Jenkins. Kareem leaves to cherish his memories aunts, great aunts, uncles, great uncles, cousins, and a HOST of friends. He also leaves a special friend Heather Senn (Eastport, NY).
