
Obituary of Annette Crippen
Marie Annette Crippen, affectionately known as Annette was born November 30th 1942 in
In 1962, while working as a secretary at the Fort Hamilton Military Base in
Mom said, "he sure did and he got smacked for that one."
A few years later, on August 28th 1965, they were married and had their first child, Curtis, and a year later came the big surprise, yep, twins Carla and Caprice. Annette was not only a wonderful mother to the children she birthed, but she opened her heart to help raise her husband's young children, Anna, Arthur and Anthony. Sometime later, Thom, Annette and the family moved to the Shinnecock Indian Reservation.
While raising her children Annette continued to further her education by graduating "Summa Cum Laude" from Southampton L.I.U. Annette pursued her career in counseling. She worked for many ears as The Head Counselor of H.E.O.P. (HIGHER EDUCATION OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM) at Southampton L.I.U., eventually becoming the director.
Annette departed this life on November 17th 2019. She was preceded in death by her Husband Thomas Carlson Crippen, daughter Anna Marie Hill Anderson, her father Cornelius, mother Arlene, sisters Clara Morales, Phyllis Isaacs, Arlene Isaacs, Ora Warren, Charlotte Fullins, Cornelia Claudio and brother Andrew Isaacs. Annette is survived by her siblings Jean Folly, Rosemary Isaac, Deborah Isaacs and Kenneth Isaacs. Sons Arthur Emmet Crippen, Anthony Joseph Crippen, Curtis Cornelius Crippen, daughters Carla James and Caprice Crippen, Son in Law Tony James, Daughter in Laws Cathy Crippen and Crystal Crippen, 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, Dear Friend Frances Coard and a host of friends and extended family.
