Obituary of Michael Ambrose III

Michael Ambrose III, 58, of Southampton, Passed away this past Friday evening June 23rd, 2016, after a long battle with throat cancer, and going into cardiac arrest two weeks prior.
     Born in Southampton Hospital on January 8th, 1959 to Michael Ambrose Jr and Ella Ambrose, Michael was a life long resident of Southampton, graduating from Southampton Highschool in 1977. He lived in North Sea where he lived with his wife of 29 years JoAnna Ambrose, whom he had two children with Michael Ambrose IV and Stanton Christopher Ambrose. 
     Michael ran his own construction company for 20+ years, Ambrose Construction, prior to which he ran his Father's Landscaping business. He has worked for a good number of other local companies as well over the years. He was also proclamated by previous mayor of Southampton, Mayor Romanowski for his Community Volunteer Services and other contributions to the community.
     He was a yearly attendant of the Polar Bear Plunge fund raiser event, The Chowder Fest of The Presbyterian Church, and multiple functions/events for Human Resources Of The Hamptons at Sacred Hearts Catholic Church including but not limited to the Christmas and Thanksgiving food and gift giveaways. Michael was also a familiar sight and crowd favorite at the dunking booth at the North Sea Fire Department Carnival and was also a previous dunking booth champion. 
      He is survived by his wife JoAnna, his sons Michael in North Carolina, Stanton of Southampton, and his two daughters from a previous marriage Kelly and Laura Ambrose of Rock Springs, WY, His mother Ella of Southampton, His older sister Mary of Southampton, and younger brothers Todd and John of Southampton. He is also survived by his seven grand children. He is preceded by his father Michael Ambrose Jr whom he now joins in heaven. 
   Funeral services for Michael Ambrose III will be held Saturday July 1st, from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9PM and at 1PM on Sunday the 2nd at Brockett's Funeral Home in Southampton. Special Thanks to Kanas Hospice and Brockett's Funeral Home for their invaluable care and services.
